Malawian soldiers from Monusco (United Nations Stabilisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo) patrolling in a tank in Mangina, 30km west of Beni (eastern DR Congo), where people fled an attack in the locality of Makusa in the territory of Mambassa in Ituri to take refuge in the centre of Beni. This was after an attack on the night of Friday 7 February in the locality of Makusa in the territory of Mambassa in neighbouring Ituri, about 12 km from Mangina. The attack, which left 8 people dead, was attributed to the ADF. Monusco dispatched its peacekeepers yesterday to ensure the security of Mangina and reassure the population.

C’est après l’attaque dans la nuit du vendredi 7 février de la localité de Makusa dans le territoire de Mambassa en Ituri voisine, pres de 12 km de Mangina. L’attaque qui a fait 8 morts a été attribuée aux ADF. La Monusco a dépêché des hier samedi ses casques bleus pour assurer la sécurité de Mangina et rassurer les populations.
